ABOUT THE GOD THAT COMES After two years of development, a world premiere run at Alberta Theatre Projects in Calgary, and sold-out previews in Toronto, Victoria, and Vancouver, 2b theatre company presents five Halifax performances only of The God That Comes, created by Juno-winner Hawksley Workman and 2b artistic co-director Christian Barry.

The God That Comes is a one-man rock and roll cabaret based on the Greek tragedy The Bacchae. It tells the story of Bacchus (the god of wine, theatre, and ritual ecstasy) and his confrontation with a rigid king.

Workman has performed in Halifax before both at the Marquee and more recently at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium with Symphony Nova Scotia.
