We are seeking a dynamic and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at 2b. This role will serve as administrative support for the management staff at 2b. Responsibilities will include updating and managing databases, organizing and maintaining physical and digital files, and assisting in the creation of content for our social media and communications platforms. The ideal team member will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the arts. HOURS: 30 hours/week, 9 weeks
STARTING PAY: $20/hour

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with and support from staff (Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, Managing Director, and the Company Manager), the Administrative Assistant will support a wide range of tasks related to the administrative world at 2b. Including:
-Working closely with 2b’s Managing Director and Company Manager on administrative and operational tasks
-Support with overall operations, building activity, season planning and communications plans
-Monitoring & Responding for the organization’s general e-mail inboxes
-Supporting fundraising initiatives and activity
-Office organization (physical and digital filing in Google Drive)
-Drafting and sending newsletters through our database (Keela)
-Updating and maintaining personnel records and contacts in our Keela Database
-Supporting the creation of press releases, social media posts, and other promotional materials
-Website support and editing (2b uses a WordPress Website platform)
-Supporting the Digital Marketing Coordinator with materials surrounding summer events and initiatives to share publicly
-Supporting with financial administration tasks (invoices, reconciliations, receipts)

Qualifications / Required Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will:
-Have detail oriented skills and and a passion for organization
-Comfortable with sorting and organizing files (digital and physical)
-Have proficiency with organizational tools in G-Suite; Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
-Have proficiency with maintaining and organizing information in a database (Keela)
-Be self-motivated and have confidence to work independently
-Have good time management skills, and the ability to multitask and to prioritize tasks
-Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
-Have clean record-keeping and reporting skills
-Have some knowledge of non-profit organizations and/or the performing arts world in Kjipuktuk/Halifax

As this position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
-Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at time of hiring
-Be a Canadian citizen
-Be legally entitled to work in Canada (you must have a valid Social Insurance Number)
